Medicinal Ingredients :
- Sennosides (senna) 8.6 mg - Stimulant laxative
- Docusate Sodium 50 mg - Stool softener
Non-Medicinal Ingredients :
- Corn starch, D&C yellow No. 10 aluminum lake, FD&C yellow No. 6 aluminum lake, guar gum, lecithin, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol, silicon dioxide, sodium benzoate, talc and titanium dioxide
Directions (Dosage) :
- Take with a glass of fluid or more, bowel movement may take 6-12 hours.
- Adults and children 12 years and over: * take 1-2 tablets at bedtime * Maximum 4 tablets, twice a day (8 tablets in 24 hours).
- Children (6-11 years): * take one half to 1 tablet at bedtime * Maximum 1 tablet, twice a day (2 tablets in 24 hours)
Cautions and Warnings :
- Do not use if you have abdominal pain, nausea, fever, vomiting, appendicitis, blocked intestine, inflamed bowel, Crohn's disease or bowel ulcer, severe dehydration, within 2 hours of other medicines, or if you are presently taking mineral oil, if you are on a low salt diet
- Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you, have a kidney problem, are taking heart medications, water pills, steroids or licorice root or other medications or health products which may worsen electrolyte imbalance, are pregnant or breastfeeding, notice a sudden change in bowel habits that lasts longer than 2 weeks (this may be a sign of a serious condition)
- When using this product, over use or extended use may cause dependence on laxatives for bowel function, may cause mild cramps, stomach discomfort, do not take for more than 7 days unless directed by a doctor
- Stop use and ask a doctor if, rectal bleeding occurs, symptoms persist, worsen or last more than 7 days
- Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, call a Poison Control Centre or get medical help right away.
